Cargo Thrust Calculator
How many thrusters do you need to keep your ship up while hauling all your cargo?
This uses a variety of different ingots, pick the best number that would suit your needs.
Just note that this is just the amount of thrusters required to sustain your ship's altitude. Not enough to adjust your ship's altitude.
THIS CALCULATOR HAS BEEN FIXED AND NOW PROVIDES ACTUAL VALUES AND NOT ADDITIVE VALUES

Things to note
Ratios:
Small & Large Ships:
1 Small Ion Thruster has 8% of the power of a Large Ion Thruster.
Small Ships:
1 Small Hydrogen Thruster has 20% of the power of a Large Hydrogen Thruster
Large Ships:
1 Small Hydrogen Thruster has 15% of the power of a Large Hydrogen Thruster
How this works
For this calculator to work, we have to use one important physics equation.
- f = ma (Newton's second law) Where f = Force, m = Mass and a = Acceleration
The only two variables that the user (you) provide us with is your ship's mass and the planet/moon that you are on. We then use these variables to calculate the force generated via the mass & gravity and divide that by the different thrusters.
Force = Mass * Gravity
We use the density,mass and volume of uranium ingots to calculate this because they are the densest material in Space Engineers currently.
